The first of the 2008 Workshop series was kicked off last Sunday at Cineleisure Outpost. "Gundams!" was presented by BAKUC 2007 Champion TK Ting and Ray Loke, 2nd runner up of the 2008 mid year Gundam Championship.
Miniature Hobby organised Minicon 2008 after an absence of a few years to a great response by modellers young and old in the end of December 2008. The announcement of the competition result was held on 27 Dec 2008.

The Merdeka Group Build '08 Exhibition titled "Path of A Nation" was held over the 30th and 31st August 2008 weekend at MyScififan Outpost, Cineleisure, Damansara.
The Merdeka Group Build was introduced in 2007 in conjunction with Malaysia's 50th indepencence anninversary. In recognition of the milestone, SFTPMS initiated an exhibition with the personal collection of members and friend alike.
