Scale Modellers Malaysia is excited to announce our year-end modelling extravaganza! There will be 3 events happening at Jaya One on the 2 and 3 of December 2023. So, mark your calendars and get your sprue cutters ready for:

  3. SMM Annual General Meeting (AGM) - All SMM members are encouraged to attend. [Due to unforeseen circumstances, the AGM will be rescheduled to a later date in December. We will notify members once the AGM date is confirmed]

Terms and Conditions of SMM Annual

  1. Open to all scale modellers except judges, sponsors and immediate families.
  2. Commission built models shall not be eligible.
  3. By participating, all participants declare that they consented and agreed to these terms and conditions and no dispute of outcome decided by the Organiser or judges will be entertained.
  4. All Entries are subject to handling by judges or organiser and reasonable care will be accorded to protect the models. The organiser and judge shall not be responsible for damage arising from this.
  5. The Judges' decision is final.
  6. The Organiser and Sponsor reserves the right to subsitute prizes for similar value items without prior notice if the need arises. All prizes are not transferable.
  7. Acceptance of the Prizes constitute an agreement for the Organiser and/or Sponsor and their agencies and rights to publish, display or use the name, addresses, photographs and information of all winners and models for publicity and advertising without compensation or notice.

Competition Eligibility

  1. The competition is eligible to all modellers. SMM members are accorded entry waiver as described. All data and details submission must be true and accurate. False data may render the entries void and fee forfeited.
  2. Only models which have not entered any prior SMM annuals are eligible, unless reworked.
  3. All fees to be levied shall be non-refundable and payable via online transfer by 29th Nov 2023.
  4. The categories for entry are divided based on the judging guidelines. All entries will be judged for their quality eligibility to receive awards.
  5. Entry fee of RM15 per model or RM40 for 3 models.

Other Conditions and Disclaimers

  1. The registration and submission of entries are as detailed in the heading.
  2. All Participants are to collect their respective models only at the close of the event on 3rd Dec 7.00PM. Any uncollected models shall be kept by SMM and no responsibility will be assumed for these models.
  3. All models shall be displayed for public viewing (except judging periods) and no models are to be removed by the participants for the duration of SMM Annual 2023.
  4. The organiser and sponsors shall not be responsible for the models or losses or damages suffered during SMM Annual 2023. Participants shall not hold the organiser and/or sponsors liable for damages, loss, directly or indirectly suffered of incurred during the event or in the eventuality of any suspension, termination or cancellation of this competition.
  5. All communications, comments or materials sent to the organiser including feedback shall be deemed non confidential nor private.
  6. Any damage to the models submitted, in transit, at the event grounds and out shall not be the responsibility of the event organisers nor its agents.
